more on our Pastor
A fourth generation Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Rev. Miller currently serves as the pastor of Allen Temple AME Church (Greenville, SC). Previously, he served Bethel AME Church (Conway, SC) where he led the congregation in a restoration of the historic sanctuary.
Prior to his tenure at Bethel, he served St. John AME Church (Cottageville, SC), leading the congregation in the acquisition of property in an effort to increase their land holdings with future growth in mind. A great joy for him while serving these congregations has been the experience of his own personal growth as they continued to grow spiritually and numerically.
Presently, he serves as the Social Action Coordinator for the Seventh Episcopal District of the A.M.E. Church and on the board of directors for the Academy of Hope Charter School. He is a fervent believer in creating a world where joy and justice work together in building stronger communities. Miller’s passions in life include but are not limited to traveling, the study of history, and writing. His travels for vocation and education have taken him to destinations which include India, Ghana, Egypt, Haiti, and South Africa among others.
